2016-18 Meeting Planners Guide Access Perth Flights There are 18 international, 12 domestic and regional, and four general aviation airlines that operate at Perth Airport, connecting travellers to more than 110 destinations around Australia and overseas. Free city transport There is a Free Transit Zone (FTZ) within Perth City on any form of public transportation at all times. In addition, visitors are able to travel on Transperth CAT buses which offer a fast and convenient means of travelling in the city. www.transperth.wa.gov.au Taxis Taxis are usually plentiful in Perth with dedicated ranks available throughout the CBD, major shopping hubs and at nightspots. A taxi fare from Perth airport terminals to Perth Central Business District (CBD) is around $38. The new Perth City Underground Bus Port, located in the heart of the Perth City Link, is the central hub for bus transport throughout the Perth Metropolitan area. www.transperth.wa.gov.au Perth Connect is a designated airport shuttle service that runs to and from the domestic and international airports and Perth City. Bookings for services departing from the airport are not required. Simply make your way to the Perth City shuttle bus stop, located on the Terminal 3 forecourt. www.perthairportconnect.com.au Ferries The main commuter ferry terminal is at Barrack Street Jetty in the CBD. The jetty services ferry travel to and from Fremantle, Rottnest Island and South Perth, and is the departure point for wine and river cruises. Transperth operates a ferry service between Barrack Street Jetty and Mends Street in South Perth. Discover the Perth Zoo in South Perth, as well as plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes. www.transperth.wa.gov.au Trains Perth Central Train Station, including Perth Underground Station, is located in the heart of the city. Modern trains link Perth’s suburbs within hubs at Fremantle, Joondalup, Mandurah, Midland and Armadale. www.transperth.wa.gov.au Private vehicles and coaches There are a number of private car and coach companies operating with both small and large vehicles in the city and surrounds. These services are perfect for transfer to and from the airport, transfer to events or for regional tours, and they are an efficient and cost-effective means for delegates to travel around Perth.
